A photo I took many years ago turned into a pixelized version. Squint your eyes to enhance the likeness.
I made this using standard graph paper and one of these multicolored BIC pens:
Here is another one I made using just this pen:
…by taping the photo behind standard graph paper and filling in the squares, as see below.
It helps to define the borders of color changes instead of just filling it all in. This is what it looked like mid-way through:
As a next step, I could darken the reds of pixels where the shade is slightly different. I will save that for another day. π¨
